Background : Huanghuali Rosewood is an extremely rare and highly collectible rosewood.It is dense, hard, rot resistant and highly resonant.This is a very slow growing tree which takes 100 over years to grow to a diameter of 6-7 inches.
Highly treasured by the Emperors during the Ming Dynasty. It is used to build imperial grade furniture, many of which last til today and are highly sought by collectors. Due to its rarity it has never been built into musical instruments.
The tone of this wood is warm, crisp and soothing. The wood feels very alive, responsive and resonant. Feel the vibrations of strings and wood “talking ” to you as you move up and down the neck. You will just want to keep playing again and again. Out of this world.
